After successfully completing projects, another order, fully funded by Novelis, is placed between Ulsan Aluminum and Gautschi. Ulsan Aluminum is a joint venture between Novelis and Kobelco in South Korea, headquartered in Ulsan. The company was founded in 2017 and produces flat-rolled aluminium for a variety of market segments including automotive, beverage can, industrial and light gauge products.
The contract with Ulsan Aluminum includes the design, manufacture, and supply of the second pusher preheating furnace at the Ulsan aluminium. The pusher furnace is a semi-continuous or continuous, aluminium sheet ingot preheating furnace with a capacity of 30 rolling ingots.
The furnace is subdivided into six heating zones, with individual controls to obtain efficient heat transfer and thus reasonably short heat-up times.
