In the overall context of modernization, increase of capacity, technology improvement and environmentally friendly operation Alunorf decided to replace the outworn Pit Type Furnace Chambers 21-23 by a new Gautschi designed Pit Type Furnace.
This award is the continuation of long and reliable partnership between the companies based on decades of experience, business needs and performance evaluation. All aspects of process control and process variables are included in the equipment design and automation system. Furthermore, this new furnace will already be designed to cope with the new requirements regarding the variable gas quality supply at the Alunorf plant in future years.
The complete project will be a logistic challenge in view of designing and manufacturing the furnace within only 9 months, installation within 3 months during running production and commissioning within 2 months targeting the full production availability at the end of 2022.
