Together with a team from EBNER Industrieofenbau, Gautschi has nearly completed the commissioning of a new electric pusher furnace manufactured and supplied by Gautschi.

During the latest project phase, the team carried out a detailed technical assessment of the furnace and finalized the preparations for the acceptance measurements, which are currently underway.

Once this final phase is successfully completed and the FAC is signed, the furnace will transition into regular production operation.

A particularly noteworthy aspect of this project is its pioneering character: this new furnace is the first electric pusher furnace manufactured by Gautschi and, at the same time, the first of its kind within the entire EBNER GROUP.

Designed for the preheating of rolling ingots using electricity instead of natural gas, the system enables a significant reduction in emissions. With this innovative concept, it helps to substantially lower CO₂ emissions both annually and over the full lifetime of the furnace, making an important contribution to the sustainability goals of both the customer and the EBNER GROUP.

The renewed and constructive cooperation between the teams in Leonding and Ranshofen once again highlights the strong internal collaboration within the EBNER GROUP and its ability to drive innovation and sustainable industrial solutions forward.
