New electrically heated Holding Furnace for Brazil

Albras - Aluminio Brasileiro S.A., located in Barcarena, Brazil recently ordered a new electrically heated and tiltable Holding Furnace from MAERZ-Gautschi. The new furnace will have a capacity of 50 t and is used to supply liquid metal to a recently installed Ingot Casting and Stacking line (also supplied by MAERZ-Gautschi). Commissioning will take place in the third quarter of 2008.
