MAERZ-Gautschi Melting and Holding Furnaces for Argentina

MAERZ-Gautschi Industrieofenanlagen GmbH of Switzerland, supplier of Cast House Equipment and heat Treatment Furnaces for the Aluminium Industry, could enter an agreement with ALUAR, Alumino Argentino SAIC for the supply of two (2) 50 t Tiltable Aluminium Melting and Holding Furnaces for the Cast House Expansion Project in Puerto Madryn.

The Furnaces will be equipped with a specially designed liquid metal charging well to receive liquid metal from the electrolysis. Furthermore, MAERZ-Gautschi natural gas burners will be installed for optimized fuel consumption.
The commissioning is due to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2005.
